Small Business and Supplier Diversity Program
Mission Statement
The mission of the Small Business Program is to ensure that small business concerns have the maximum practical opportunity in supplying goods and services to meet the purchasing needs of the Institute.
The California Institute of Technology is committed to supporting small business concerns, including those of socially and economically disadvantaged businesses, in its purchasing programs. Accordingly, Caltech maintains a Small Business Program that is designed to reach out to the small business community and to give qualified suppliers a fair and equal opportunity to compete for Institute business.
Our Commitment to Supplier Diversity
Caltech is committed to making Supplier Diversity an integral part of the way we do business by creating opportunities for small-disadvantaged suppliers including, HBCU/MI, minority, HUBZone, veteran owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, and women owned businesses to compete for Institute business.
Our work to support diverse companies in our procurement and business operations is not only a good faith effort but also presents the opportunity to impact the economy of our local communities. As a leading research institution, we are committed to advancing supplier diversity by fostering an environment that promotes inclusion and encourages the participation of diverse suppliers.
