Risk Management Mission - The California Institute of Technology (Institute) makes every reasonable effort to protect the health and safety of members of the community and the public from any hazards incidental to operations of the Institute. We endeavor to preserve and protect the Institute's resources against losses arising from any occurrence while enabling the Institute to fulfill its Mission. In order to carry out the Mission objectives, we consider several types of risks, including natural risks, environmental risks, political risks, compliance risks, operational risks, economic risks, business risks, social risks and technological risks.
The Risk Management Office is responsible for mitigating the various risks and meeting Objectives, Authority and Responsibilities for the benefit of Caltech and its employees.
